Tomenko to solve nuclear waste issue

On April 13 deputy speaker Mykola Tomenko will hold a meeting on liquidation of Chornobyl disaster consequences and social defense of victims.

Press office of Tomenko reports that representatives of Emergency Control Ministry, Health Ministry, deputies and members of VR ecology committee, chairmen of Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regional councils will take part in the meeting.

Participants of the meeting will familiarize with the state of the storage of nuclear waste and the processing plant of radio active waste liquids, will visit sight area of the object “Shelter”, social objects Slavutych, Chornobyl center on nuclear security, waste and ecology.

As a result of the meeting, they will submit recommendations to the Cabinet and the parliament.
