Pripyat River radioactive contamination zone (Ukraine and Byelorussia). The meaning of ecosystems dynamic investigations, held in reserve, increased during the last years. It is connected with the accident in Chernobyl NPP, located in the zone of Pripyat river basin.
The area of river Pripyat columbine takes 122000 square kilometers, 57% of which belong Ukraine and 43% - to Byelorussia. The length of the river is about 1050km, 290km of which belong to Ukraine and 760km – to Byelorussia.
The main problem in lowers or Pripyat appeared in result of nuclear fall-out after the accident at Chernobyl NPP in 1986 and contamination of the great number of lower territories.
Radioactive substances go on decaying and getting to waterway with runoff.
