The joiners' workshop

Soviet schools had 2 to 3 lessons of 'working experience' every week. Girls studied housekeeping all year round, while the boys had to learn joinery for half a year and then shifted to metalwork next term. Thus each school had two workshops with all the encessary equipment, benches and hand tools.
