There were discussions about what season is the best for this tour, but taking into account aim of tour - taking pictures of buildings for interactive map of the City, it was decided that winter is the best time. First thing - level of radiation on winter is smaller than other season, it was important because it was planned to take pictures in badly contaminated areas of the City, another thing - vegetation is everywhere, so taking pictures through dense leaves isn't good idea. We expected good weather conditions, but it was snowinf, winding and frosty. ..
Unfortunatesy quality of the pictures isn't perfect on my opinion. We expected more... Anyway, I publish my pictures and hope that some materials will be usefull for you. We try take those areas, which aren't popular among visitors because of they're inaccessibile and too far from the popular routes for the visitors, so those areas are unknown for the most people...

In one of the rooms of Culture center we've found stand of Pripyat amateur theatre under a pile of the placates with pictures of the Soviet Communist Party leaders...

Under constructions of the boxing ring you could see something looks like a fontain... Probably before installation boxing ring here winter garden was planned...
The worst revelation for me is condition of the school No 1... A lot of my personal memories connected with this school. I've met my best Friend in this school... I've heard that it was destruction in the school, but I couldn't imagine thau destruction was so bad... It was impossible to get in my classroom, entrance was graved under crushed slabs. It is astonishing, but the classroom survived, despite the fact that, it is in the middle of destruction...
There is entrance to my classroom under these slabs...
